Some case types use processes or deprecated status stages instead of a life cycle that contains stages, processes, and steps. There are limited options when you open one of these case types in Case Designer.
The following options are supported for case types that do not have a life cycle defined:
[Process name] thumbnail — Opens the Process Outline view for a flow.
The Play icon on a thumbnail indicates that the flow is a starting process. Click the icon to run the process and create a case.
[No label] thumbnail — Adds a new process to your case type.
+ Stage — Adds a default stage to your case type.
You cannot configure status stages in Case Designer because they are deprecated. Open the Case Type form to review or update these details. As a best practice, define a life cycle for your case type so that you can use the full set of features in Case Designer.
